City Guard Training
The king has ordered the guards to attend a intense training course in camp Blackberg. They are now much more aware of what’s going on in the city – particularly people who may have light fingers…
NPCs
Heavy Guard & Light guard
The guards returned from training in camp blackberg with new men among their ranks…
New heavy and light guard NPCs. Heavy guards are kitted out with plate armour and are much tougher. Whereas the light guards are equipped with leather armour and thus more susceptible to damage.
Bandit chief, bandit heavies and bandit footsoldiers
As the people of Mercia struggle to survive more and more turn dubious ways of making a living. The bandit threat is on the rise and they are beginning to organise themselves. Chiefs have risen, huge brutish men clad in black armour supported by heavies, guards turned rogue. Watch your step citizen…
We’ve made several changes to the bandits throughout the world.
Bandit chief – Boss NPC. Best tackled in groups.
Bandit heavies – Bandits equipped with plat armour, wear ragged guard outfits. Only confront alone if you’re a more experienced player.
Bandit footsoldiers – A medium class of bandit. Often wears leather.
Light bandits – usually wearing little armour. Aggressive but easily dealt with. These are the bandits that have been populating the game since launch but re-balanced to reflect their role.
Travelling Merchant
Hello kind sir! Can I interest you in my wears? Items from every corner of Mercia.
This is our first pass on travelling NPCs. Currently there is a single merchant roaming the world, we’re planning on refining and expanding this system in future updates.
Animals
More wolves
More wolves have been spotted, fierce creatures with an appetite for human flash. Hunt them down at your own peril.
More wolves scattered throughout the world!
Items
Gold lootable from players
Dead players loot bags now contain their gold.
Location updates
Bywick – Bywick has had a big art pass. Including new purchasable houses.
Ashview – A couple of months ago we asked the players to name a small burnt down village on the cliffs opposite to Raven’s Reach, the name chosen was Ashview. George.dzhan also wrote a post on the steam community forums describing a possible back story for town, we used this story to update this location and it now better reflects the history the community created for it!
Laketown – We’ve began to flesh out a new hub location based at the source of the river that runs past Raven’s Reach. Laketown (quite likely a place-holder name) will be inspired by wooden riverside dwellings such as Laketown from The Hobbit. Expect more details about this location soon!
