Imagine the scene. You’ve just returned home from a visit to a friend’s house who’s an expert model builder, where they showed off the models they’ve built. You saw model trains, model cars, model ships, and even some models from a well known brand name involving hammers that we won’t be mentioning.
All of them were built perfectly and stunningly painted, showing a skill, talent, and attention to detail that you’re determined to replicate.
But ah, then, reality hits you. You don’t have the space, the money, or the time to start your own model building hobby. Well thankfully we have the solution, GMG Publishing is extremely proud to introduce Model Builder.
What is Model Builder?
Model Builder is a realistic simulation that brings the joy of building scale models to life for both enthusiasts and those new to the hobby. In it, you’ll build a wide array of models for both clients and for yourself, earning money to fund your hobby and showing off the best of your work in your very own workshop space.
You’ll be able to build planes, trains, and dragons along with much, much more. If you’ve ever wanted model cars to build, intricately detailed dwarf figures to hand paint, or scale models of realistic planes to put together, then Model Builder is the ideal game for you. From miniatures of real-life models such as the French light infantry R35 tank to officially licensed Titan Forge miniatures, Model Builder includes everything you’ll ever want all in one handy bundle.
It caters to all skill levels as well, the author of this piece is very rough-and-ready when it comes to assembling miniatures and models in the real world and this has continued into Model Builder. But, what Model Builder does, is give you a space to practice in and build those skills. For the first time I’ve been able to take my time painting models and practicing without spilling Nuln Oil all over my models, which is much needed. Here’s hoping with a few more hours of Model Builder under my belt my real-world model building will be much improved as well.
Armed with a full campaign mode, a tonne of models to paint, assemble, build, and display, and promises of Steam Workshop support down the line, Model Builder looks like a perfect tool and game for anyone interested in the hobby. From newcomers who want to test it out to veterans who want to try out something a little different from their normal are of expertise, Model Builder is something that truly looks like it’ll build into something special.
